Jody is a multi-instrumentalist & repeat winner of songwriting contests throughout America. Adams has toured and worked with several acoustic and Americana groups within the last two decades. Most notably he has shared the stage with Alabama, Wade Hayes, The Osborne Brothers, Mac Wiseman, Dennis Agajanian, Lonesome River Band, Chubby Wise, Doyle Lawson, Lee Greewood, James Monroe, Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, The Freight Hoppers, Carl Story, and Ricky Skaggs. He has released eight acoustic/folk CDs. He travels and performs the majority of the year in a acoustic-solo through 6-piece acoustic-string and electric band scenario.

Growing up in an acoustic-string environment, Adams' influences range from Flatt and Scruggs to Bob Wills, New Christy Minstrels, Pete Seegar, to Merle Haggard, Woody Guthrie and Jimmy Gaudreau. His compositions highlight a variety of tones from these influences and mentors.


His original compositions are featured and regularly appear on Sirius/XM Radio, NBC's Friday Night Lights, Bill Bennett's "Morning in America", MTV's Real World, CBS's 60Mins, ABC's Family Channel, BBC, Sony DVD Movies Distribution, The Learning Channel, CMT's Home Blitz and the WB's Gilmore Girls.

Adams has performed at the White House for President Reagan and also for Presidents Clinton, Bush and Vice President Cheney.
